Marla has a background of building strategies, partnerships and programs that help advance her company, promote financial security, make economic development more inclusive, support the economic mobility of workers and leverage the power of data for good. She has nearly a decade of experience in entrepreneurship and financial inclusion work.
Marla serves on the Board of Care.com, LIFT-DC, FinRegLab, and previously served on the Board of FactorTrust, a provider of underbanked consumer data. She won the EY Mid Atlantic Emerging Company Entrepreneur of the Year Award for 2018 and has been listed as one of Fast Company’s Most Creative People in Business. Formatted, outlined, ghost wrote and edited the 300-page book.
