Growth and Evolution
SalientMG continues to grow and evolve. In order to remain in front of the innovation curve, we know we must have the best people in the industry to develop marketing capabilities and strategies that drive business growth. Marketing isn’t an art—it’s an imperative. SalientMG helps clients find their salient points, then we help them navigate the strategies and programs necessary to drive business results.
It’s not easy. It’s not always fast. It is possible. But, again, it takes the right people to do the heavy lifting.
I’m personally thrilled to announce that Joy Liuzzo, Barbara Pamplin and Tyanne Gibson have joined our expanding organization. Each of these stellar, senior marketing leaders has a unique career path, and all are recognized by peers, colleagues and clients/customers alike as industry leaders.
Joy Liuzzo, a former leader in Amazon’s advertising product marketing organization, is now SalientMG’s Managing Director. This is a newly-created role that not only reflects the fast growth of the company; but as Joy is a polymath, she is also a skilled marketing executive that will help SalientMG better refine its people, processes and technology. I’ve known Joy for more than six years, and her knowledge and expertise of the mobile and digital space is second to none. She has built an incredible industry reputation through her blended strategic research, marketing, product, and management background. Joy’s strategic product-driven mindset will enable SalientMG to move more quickly in our own marketing product development and execution.
Joy is a pioneer in digital/mobile advertising thought leadership, and before Amazon, she was the Founder/CEO of Wave Collapse, a research firm. Prior to that, she was Vice President at InsightExpress (now Millward Brown Digital), a leader in technology and analytics, and she served as the only researcher on the North American Board of the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA). In her earlier career, she held senior product, marketing and data roles at AOL and MCI (now Verizon).
As the new Managing Director at SalientMG, Joy leads product strategy, revenue management, client partnership, and staff development.
I’m also excited to announce that Barbara Pamplin, previously from Microsoft, has joined our team to lead digital and spearhead new product development. Like Joy, I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Barbara for more than five years. With more than 18 years of overall corporate and agency experience, Barbara joins us most recently from Microsoft, where she led the acquisition strategy and execution for Microsoft’s Office suite of products. Prior to that role, she was a leader in the Xbox marketing organization, and the Central Marketing Group before that, where she also served as the Mobile Marketing Global Practice Lead.
Barbara has also held senior marketing roles for Johnson and Johnson and Unilever’s Best Foods, and on the agency side, she lead account work for Amtrak, Wachovia and the US Fund for Unicef.
Barbara’s specific product development and marketing work is a critical piece to the next phase of SalientMG’s growth. I’m excited to have her onboard and to be able to work directly with her after all these years of admiring her work from afar.
Last, but certainly not least, Tyanne Gibson has joined SalientMG as the Director of Research and Analytics. We have a motto here that we don’t like to have any conversations with clients that are not rooted in data, and Tyanne is instrumental for us in gathering, segmenting and analyzing the data that drives our strategic work.
Tyanne joins us from ForeSee, where she worked with a variety of high profile domestic and international clients, and was responsible for delivering actionable recommendations that impacted corporate KPIs, resource allocation and financial performance. At SalientMG, she will be continuing this work, and leveraging data to impact the core needs of clients and drive thought leadership. She has more than 14 years of experience in research and analytics; but more than that, she brings a rigorous best-practice view of matching data to corporate performance and measurement. She is a pro and both SalientMG and our clients will benefit from her deep expertise and polished approach.
Joy, Barbara and Tyanne all bring unique experience and expertise to Salient, and in a short time period, their impact on our organization has already been readily apparent, both internally and to our clients.
These three terrific new senior hires join other team members who came from organizations like Millennial Media, XM Radio and McGarryBowen, and like the rest of the team, they are not just “thinkers” but “doers.”
We believe that our clients deserve original and flawlessly executed work, and more so than ever, I’m excited about the unique solutions that we can offer our partners today, and I’m looking ahead to additional product and solutions we’ll roll out in 2015.
