Joy Liuzzo, Managing Director of SalientMG, oversees all accounts and staff, serves as a senior resource for new and existing clients, and promotes and incubates innovation within the company. She is a polymath with an eclectic 16-year career in marketing, product management, sales, analytics, and research.
Before joining SalientMG, Joy was a Principal at Amazon Media Group where she managed global Product Marketing for Amazon’s digital advertising products on mobile, tablet, the performance network, and within entertainment content. Prior to Amazon, Joy ran the start-up, Wave Collapse, focused on data insights and marketing consulting for mobile technology companies. Before launching Wave Collapse, Joy was Vice President at InsightExpress (now Millward Brown Digital). She successfully built the mobile research practice from the ground up, establishing the company as a leader in the space. While in this role, Joy was elected as a North American Board Member to the Mobile Marketing Association, the only researcher on the board. Her earlier career includes senior level product management, marketing, and data insight roles at AOL and MCI (now Verizon).
Her expertise in all things mobile, from behavioral analysis to emerging trends to advertising effectiveness, gives her a unique perspective on which to approach and solve the big issues facing clients. As a frequent presenter, Joy is known for her ability to tell rich stories that provide attendees with actionable take-aways and new perspectives, all while entertaining and engaging the audience. All this has made Joy a go-to resource for the press. She has been quoted in and provided data for more than 50 articles and eight mobile marketing books.
Joy lives in Baltimore with her husband where they find any excuse to get on long-haul flights to new destinations. As a serial entrepreneur who launched her first business when she was 19, Joy runs a design company as well, which stretches all her product and marketing muscles. She’s also a quantum physics enthusiast, actively reading and posting articles about the latest discoveries.
