Mari Kim Novak

Chief Marketing Officer, Yieldmo

Mari Kim is a curious, well-connected, strategic marketer who has spent most of her career focused on emerging technology within the digital space. In her current role as CMO for Yieldmo, she oversees the global team charged with driving adoption of the company’s smart exchange—a real-time curation system that uses privacy-compliant contextual data, machine learning, and proprietary digital formats to maximize the value of advertising for buyers.

She has more than twenty years of experience in the advertising industry. Most recently Mari Kim was CMO of Rubicon Project (now Magnite), where she oversaw a global team charged with driving the adoption of a unified platform for advertising across all screens, devices and formats. Prior to Rubicon, Mari Kim spent nearly a decade at Microsoft, where she was the global head of marketing and managed a $22M budget for Microsoft Advertising. Before Microsoft, she held senior roles in the U.S. and UK at Millward Brown (now Kantar Millward Brown), Jupiter Media Metrix, and Grey Group.

Mari Kim has received numerous industry awards, including Ad Age “Women to Watch,” She Runs It “Changing the Game,” and “Working Mother of the Year.” She has been recognized by New York Business Journal as a “Women of Influence” honoree, and was named to the Business Insider list of “The Most Powerful Women in Mobile Advertising.”

As someone who believes strongly in equity of opportunity, Mari Kim is a founding member of Creative Spirit, a nonprofit devoted to creating integrated employment opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities. She serves on the board of SalientMG, an award-winning strategic marketing and communications firm for growth-stage tech companies and on the Executive Board of The Advertising Club of New York. 

Mari Kim holds a BA in Communications from the University of Colorado, Boulder and resides in New Jersey with her family.
